“My aim in this essay is to investigate and reflect on the current state of metaphysically influenced visual art. I want to better consider when the label “spiritual” or “metaphysical” is applied to visual art how to better analyze this work…. Generally, I see two major categories of spiritual art: symbolic/diagrammatic and that which is produced by “energetic” processes or practices.”
